A Memorable Memorial Weekend

This Memorial Day Holiday provided not only the opportunity to honor our fallen heroes and their families, but to share some of the privileges that their service and sacrifice provides.  On a grand scale, we think of the preservation of the way of life afforded us by our Constitution; which on a more intimate level, thankfully, includes simple pleasures such as ball games and bar-b-ques.

For those who had the opportunity to witness live, or review on DVR, this particular holiday weekend provided multiple manifestations of Sunday drama.

On the professional golf front, there were not one, not two, but three sudden death playoffs, while on the Indy 500 front, Danica Patrick led late, and a sudden crash on the final turn cost the rookie race leader the checkered flag, as he rode the wall across the finish line to come in second.
