Police Association 9/11 Charity Tournament Update:

The somber start to the Atascadero Police Association Charity Benefit Tournament, as one of the survivors of the 9/11 attack was presented with an American Flag , and taps was played, gave poetic contrast to the events that followed.  The laughs and silliness that the many golfing gaffs elicited as funds were raised for youth sports, gave proper deference to the notion of service and sacrifice that have been, and continue to be necessary to preserve the slice of Americana represented by such charitable events.

Team Bogey's contingent battled a rough start, registering more "fores" than fours, but just as they were beginning to lose hope, and wondering what they were going to do, received the much needed motivation and inspiration to Keep Battlin',

that spurred them to begin a comeback, resulting in a series of drilled drives and holed putts, topped off by an eagle two approach shot, that was easily the most memorable shot of the day!

The 2nd Annual Atascadero Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Chalk Mountain Golf Course in Atascadero, California on Sunday, September 11th, and Team Bogey will be sending a team to help Atascadero youth sports Keep Battlin' on their respective fields of play, where they will no doubt learn life analogous lessons that will benefit them in their respective fields of the future...more

Golf Classic Update...
We are happy to report that the 14th annual 4H and FFA Golf Classic was an outstanding success. Chalk Mountain Golf Course and weather were  beautiful, as were the Princesses; and the winning score of net 60 (it was a handicap scramble after all), came from the
Valley Yellow Pages foursome.

Much Fun was had by all, and a lot of money was raised for 4H and FFA scholarship funds.  Team Bogey was well represented by a stellar foursome, and even when bad breaks occured, they knew there was only one thing to do...

Team Bogey Tees It Up for the California Mid State Fair!!!

The 14th annual 4H and FFA Golf Classic will be held at Chalk Mountain Golf Course in Atascadero, California on Sunday, July 17th, and Team Bogey will be one of the hole sponsors.  This scrambles event will feature some of the finest golf talent that double digit handicaps have to offer.  While it may not be pretty, and it may take four tries and a mulligan or two by each team, to finally put the ball in the hole; these determined divot diggers will Keep Battlin' with gallant effort, as they try to overcome the chunked chips and bladed bombs, to wrest victory from the jaws of defeat. The California Mid State Fair Princess Candidates will be in attendance, adding a touch of charm and beauty to what should be a pleasant, but gruelingly competitive day!

And while you are at it, order some Team Bogey Battle Tees...

We've all been there...
Just about to step up to that tester-length putt that will secure our best round of the year, when a giant Grizzly comes out of the trees, and tries to maul our foursome...just another day on the course, in the world of Team Bogey!

As we settle in around a table to tally our score, and begin to recount the chunked chip, bladed sand shot, and four putt green, which, other than the Grizzly, were the only things that came between us and that ever elusive personal best; we listen to our fellow golfers recite the near misses that kept them just shy of "parfection".

When our window of time for golf and sport begins to come to a close for the dayour minds and conversations may be drawn toward those matters to which we are about to return. These likely include challenges to face and obstacles to overcome,  whether in our business, financial, or personal lives.  We know that despite our best efforts, the end result may not be what we hope for; but also, that every once in awhile, we'll take a shot that turns out better than expected.  In either case, we'll likely want to relate the experience to our clubhouse comrades...and that, in essence, is what Team Bogey.com is all about.

Take a break from serious issues, or gain some perspective and inspiration for when you return to them, and...
"Keep Battlin' ".

If you needed some incentive to Keep Battlin', listen and watch these PGA pros give Team Bogey something to shoot for!!!
These American youngbloods might have had a little too much fun making the video, and fallen short of  their desired result, but they gave a shot in the arm to a PGA event that was lacking some "juice".  Well done young men. Team Bogey is familiar with having a little too much fun and not quite achieving the best result...

Then there's the case of the French Open winner who achieved success and broke his shin bone jumping into a pond in celebration...Just goes to show us that even success briefly achieved can be followed by a bad break!!!  But we have to just...
Keep Battlin'.
